An Appeal to Our Friends,

For nearly five generations in ever-evolving ways, Helen Kate has opened new worlds to Nether Providence and Rose Valley residents through its mission of fostering lifelong learning and personal enrichment. Our commitment to providing equal access to information, technology, community gathering spaces, and expert staff continues to guide our direction.

The Furness Library receives funding from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Nether Providence Township, and Rose Valley Borough and operational support from the 5,800 families it serves to raise approximately 40% of its annual operating budget.

There are many ways to help the Library: volunteering your time, attending a fundraising event, participating in a corporate matching gifts program, serving on the board, shopping the book sales, and more. Our most critical effort is this, our annual appeal for donations.

Will you help? Your generosity will ensure the ongoing vitality of this treasured community institution.

For the Board of Directors,
Emily Lovitz, President
