Join us for Summer Quest – a celebration of reading and learning that takes place throughout Delaware County Libraries during the summer months. This year’s Summer theme is Adventure Begins at Your Library.

Journey Across Delco: Come journey with us this summer, from June 19 to August 13, as we learn about picture book illustrators! Visit each of the 28 libraries in Delaware County to learn about a different illustrator and their books. Match the book cover on the library’s Journey Across Delco poster to a book cover on your game sheet. Write the library’s name below the book cover to keep track of which libraries you’ve visited. While you’re there, explore the library and collect a special brag tag to add to your collection!

Kids, teens, and adults are invited to join the online reading challenges through Beanstack.

Summer Reading at Helen Kate – For Kids & Teens

One of the best things about summer is having all the time you want to read. It’s also fun to know that you can win prizes for doing so. How can you score some treasure? Choose one way or ALL THREE!

  • You can stop into the HKF Library and pick up a Read with Rita’s Reading Log. Then read 2 hours (120 minutes) or more in one week.  Bring your completed log in for Ms. Lori to sign.  Head to the Rita’s in Media for your free kids size water ice or custard cone.
  • Show Ms. Lori your school reading log as you record books there. Bookmarks, tattoos, and free books are all available to you as you read.  How many books do you hope to read this summer?
