The Helen Kate Furness Free Library showcases the work of local artists on our Art Exhibit Wall on the second floor of the library. Our rotating exhibits feature a variety of styles and mediums, changing every few months to highlight the creativity within our community.

Tahirah Coleman
Exhibit Dates: November 15, 2025-January 10, 2026
Tahirah Coleman is Delaware County Oil Pastel artist whose work explores themes of growth, femininity, and renewal. She draws deep inspiration from the natural world, often turning to flowers as symbols of hope — vivid reminders that beauty can emerge even after the longest, coldest seasons. For Tahirah, each bloom reflects healing and the quiet power of transformation.
Her art is a personal journey of reclaiming her femininity and embracing self-discovery through color, texture, and emotion. She believes art has the ability to restore and uplift. To remind us that growth is always possible, no matter where we’re planted.

Blake Cohen
Exhibit Dates: September-October 2025
Blake uses her Samsung phone to capture landscapes from her travels, and more recently, her work has focused on the Finger Lakes region of New York. Using smart phone photography, it is easy to look at daily life in a more artistic manner and see the beauty in every day things. She states, “I am thankful for the way photography has changed how I view the world”. Blake also considers herself a library advocate and is proud and honored to display her work here. Delco by marriage, Blake has lived in Folsom since 2007.

Afloat
Selections by Strath Haven High School Spring 2025 Digital Photography 2
Exhibit Dates: June 23-August 15, 2025
AFLOAT | The Digital Photography 2 Class at Strath Haven High School balances structured projects with independent work designed to develop individual student voice and expression. This display showcases two pieces from each of the 13 students enrolled during the spring 2025 semester—one from a studio project and one independent piece. This unique class treats structured projects as a dock from which to set original ideas afloat.

Lynne Jones Dietze
Exhibit Dates: May 2025-June 10, 2025
Lynne Jones Dietze, a Delaware county native, became interested in art at an early age. She studied traditional western oil painting technique at the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Art in the mid-eighties. She earned a certificate in Gallery Management and went on to study Chinese work under Ru-Lab Weng for eight years. After much independent work, including western watercolor study with Phillip Blank, Lynne broadened her Asian technique in years of classes with Josephine Tsai. Lynne’s aggregate technique is a fusion of traditional Asian art with impressionist roots, providing a unique approach to traditional Chinese flower painting.

Tiffaney Dattilo
Exhibit Dates: April-May 2025
Tiffaney Dattilo is a professional artist, working primarily in acrylic and gouache. She also runs a successful art instruction business, teaching students as young as 3 years of age to 103. The paintings featured here are part of a forthcoming collection entitled “A Sense of Place”, which focuses on the importance of our connection to and relationship with our homes and communities and geography. Mrs. Dattilo lives in Wallingford, PA with her husband and children.
Dorothy Wilson Lee
Exhibit Dates: December 2024-January 2025
Dotty is a retired Special Education teacher who pursued a lifelong passion for art after 30 years in education. At 62, she enrolled in Moore College of Art’s Interior Design program and now designs homes with her husband. During the 2020 pandemic lockdown, she discovered alcohol ink painting, a fluid art technique using dye-based inks and isopropyl alcohol. This rekindled her childhood love of color, reminiscent of her first Crayola box. Her work has gained recognition in juried shows, solo exhibitions, and is available at galleries and commissioned spaces, including Strath Haven Condominiums.
Matt Sutter
Exhibit Dates: October-November 2024
Matt Sutter is an artist, illustrator, and designer. His collection of stunning landscapes was on display at the library in 2024.

Steve Peura
Exhibit Dates: July-September 2024
Steve M. Peura is a Wallingford, PA artist and painter working primarily with acrylics. His eclectic style ranges from abstract compositions to realistic scenes, still life, and vibrant whimsical art.
In July, a collection of Steve’s still life originals was featured, followed by a food and kitchen art collection on display in August and September.

Michele Claybrook-Lucas
Exhibit Dates: June 2024
Michele Claybrook-Lucas is a mixed media artist who has exhibited her work in Philadelphia and Delaware County. She enjoys helping others find their inner artist.
