Because of you, 2025 was an incredible year at the Helen Kate Furness Free Library. Thank you for believing in the library’s future and in the impact it has on our community. We invite you to read more about what your gift made possible on the next page.

It takes about $520,000 to operate the library each year — including professional staff, utilities, books, and programs for all ages. Of that total, 40% comes directly from community support. Individual gifts from neighbors like you are the single most important factor in sustaining our beloved library.

Together we can build something beautiful, as our middle school patrons show with their Collaborative Grid Arts Project (featured in the header above) – each individual square coming together to create our beloved library. Lifelong learning, discovery, and joy remain paramount to our mission in the Nether Providence and Rose Valley communities.
